October 2 - 3	'America My Home' SVQG 2010 Quilt Show Opening ceremonies @ 9:45 on Saturday with Color Guard by local military. Special quilt exhibit 'Daughter's and Son's of Liberty'. Live Auction on Saturday @ 1:00. Sunday's guest speakers are Diana McClun and Laura Nawnes. There will be a vendor mall, boutique, treasure hunt and lots of door prizes. October 2	Willow Woods Quilt Guild Our second annual Blue Jay quilt walk takes place in the beautiful San Bernardino mountains in Blue Jay. Beautiful quilts displayed throughout the town make for an enjoyable afternoon. A quilt auction will be held at 11:30 with all proceeds benefitting Camp Paivika, a camp providing camping opportunities for handicapped children and their parents and caregivers. Their will be a display of "artsy bras" with donations benefitting the Soroptomists of Lake Arrowhead free mammogram program. We will have displays, demonstrations, a featured quilter, and much more. This Beautiful and Fun quilt was made using Batiks except for the leaves and vine. It was sewn and quilted by ladies of the Black Mountain Circle and quilted by Tammy Bradley.
