method. Using one of the block designs from Carol's book, 300 Paper-Pieced Quilt Blocks, you
will learn about fabric choices, joining blocks, matching and reducing bulk at the points. Even
if you are new to patchwork, your points will be perfect!
Supplies:
Sewing Machine in good working order equipped with a 90/14 needle, thread. (Bring along
your knee lift if your sewing machine has that feature.)
Rotary cutter, small pair of scissors, rotary mat, 6" square and 6" x 12" rotary rulers (Ominigrid
suggested), small stick-on note pad.
Flat headed or small-headed pins
6" Add-A-Quarter ruler

Fabric:
Background –
4" x 44" strip of non-directional very dark or very light tone-on-tone or solid fabric.
Rays –
3" x 44" strips of 6 different contrasting solid or tone-on-tone fabrics.
Border –
1 strip, 2 1/2" x 44".
