President: Bobbie Stember, Vice President: Helene Prosser Secretary: Donna Kloehn, Treasurer: Karen Garth June 5, 2010 We have 339 members The first guild in Las Vegas, Nevada, Desert Quilters of Nevada is a nonprofit organization formed in 1987 to encourage, promote, and preserve the art of quilt making by developing an appreciation of fine quilts, sponsoring and supporting quilting activities, teaching quilt making techniques, and the history of quilting and quilt making. In the fall of 2012 we will be 25 years old. We we like everyone to start thinking about something we could do that is really special Any changes/corrections need to be sent into the membership chair Mary Sprenger so that an update will be posted in the Quilt Chatter. Membership is open to anyone who is interested in quilts and quilt making. Annual dues are $20, with membership beginning October 1 and running through the following September 30th. You also receive and $10.00 coupon to use for a class.

We love quilting and fiber art, and we love to share this
passion in small and large groups.
We have 14 member circles, most of which meet once
or twice a month.
At quarterly meetings of the full guild we have lectures,
trunk shows and workshops by local and nationally recognized teachers.

The Annual Guild Meeting is held each October. At least three other General Guild Meetings are held during the year, as well as shows, workshops, classes and retreats. In addition some Circles meet more frequently. Member Benefits include a copy of the Roster and By-laws, discounted workshop and excursion fees, and your subscription to the DQN Quilt Chatter. The Quilt Chatter is issued six times yearly to members the first week of Jan, Mar, May Jul, Sept, Nov. Membership applications are included in the newsletter and here on our website.
