The first guild in Las Vegas, Nevada, Desert Quilters of Nevada is a nonprofit organization formed in 1987 to encourage, promote, and preserve the art of quilt making by developing an appreciation of fine quilts, sponsoring and supporting quilting activities, teaching quilt making techniques, and the history of quilting and quilt making.  In the fall of 2012 we will be 25 years old.  We we like everyone to start thinking about something we could do that is really special

Any changes/corrections need to be sent into the membership chair

 for our Membership Directory Book. 

Membership is open to anyone who is interested in quilts and quilt making. Annual dues are $20, with membership beginning October 1 and running through the following September 30th.

The Annual Guild Meeting is held each October. At least three other General Guild Meetings are held during the year, as well as shows, workshops, classes and retreats. In addition, Circles meet more frequently (See Circle Schedules.)

Member Benefits include a copy of the Roster and By-laws, discounted workshop and excursion fees, and your subscription to the DQN Quilt Chatter.

The Quilt Chatter is issued six times yearly to members the first week of Jan, Mar, May Jul, Sept, Nov.

 Membership applications are included in the newsletter and here on our website.  To become a member of Desert Quilts of Nevada, click the link below to fill out and print the membership form and send to the address listed.

 Cher Chu is the contact person phone 658-8323.  Meeting place Fabric Boutique on Charleston and Decatur.  The 2nd and 4th Monday at 5:00 p.m. 

New circle Silver Doll-ers

Dolls, Dolls Dolls          Some of our members are part of a doll group called Las Vegas Silver doll-ers.  We think that this form of art is also part of the over all fiber arts that quilters take part in, so we have a link to their web site and look forward to seeing all their wonderful dolls at the quilt show in March.  Take a look at what they have been doing.
