The Rainbow Library is undergoing renovations, so three of the circles are going to be meeting at the Sahara West Library from March through October 2008. They are: Lone Mountain, Northwest Quilting Queens and Silver Threads.

New Longarm Circle forming!
A new DQN Circle has formed especially for longarm quilters. You don’t need to be a professional quilter or even own a longarm. This group is for anyone who machine quilts on a frame system. Quilt design exchanges and show and tell will be a part of every meeting along with tips, techniques, and short demos.
Meetings are the second Tuesday of every month at Sonia Hensley’s home, 8965 S Buffalo Drive, Las Vegas 89113. Time is 7:00 -9:00 pm. Phone 614-6159We had our first meeting on Oct 9th. There was a very good turnout. Our group has some great ideas for the upcoming meetings with our goal set at having some instruction at each meeting. We are going to be working on creating our own references of quilting designs for many common quilt blocks and quilts. Our first meeting included a talk about getting over the fear of machine quilting for the new quilter. Meetings will continue to be at Sonia Hensley’s house until we can make other arrangements
