Schedule of DQN Board Meetings

Board meetings are on the first Monday of each month excluding holidays.
7 PM ~ Location: Multi-purpose Room at the Enterprise Library
25 E. Shelbourne Ave.
(South of the Warm Springs Road and just off Las Vegas Blvd on Shelbourne Ave.)

Directions: Take I-15 South to the Blue Diamond exit. Head east on Blue Diamond Road. At Las Vegas Blvd turn right, heading South. Continue on Las Vegas Blvd for approximately 1/2 mile. Turn left on Shelbourne. The Enterprise Library is on the corner of Shelbourne and Las Vegas Blvd.

Proposed Amendment to the DQN Bylaws

 Some years ago we voted to include the Quilt Show Chair, the Retreat Chair, the membership chair, the program chair and the sales chair to be appointed, voting members of the Board. Somewhere along the way, the amendment change got lost. We are asking for a vote again at the October Annual Meeting to re establish the appointments.  This motion was approved by the board at the June 2007 Board Meeting.  Bold type emphasis the proposed change.

 Proposed change to Article IV, Section 5 of the Desert Quilters of Nevada Bylaws.

 The non elected members of the Board of Directors include the newsletter editor, the immediate past president, one representative of each interest group, the quilt show chair, the retreat chair, membership chair, program chair, and the sales chair. Interest groups with 25 or more Desert Quilters of Nevada members may have two voting members on the Board of Directors.
