Around the Guild
These are some
pictures that were taken when we welcomed Patricia Bloomfield from Sidney
Australia to spend time at Ann Pugh's home and a luncheon with the Crazy
Threads Circle. For more photos check out our Quilt Chatter.
A SURVIVOR'S QUILT
Stephanie, sitting next to her dad, survived childhood cancer. This quilt
was made from the head scarves she wore. There is a Garth Brooks signature
in one, Ronald McDonald Camp in others. I backed them with iron on tricot
to stabilize them all.
The Dragonfly was important to her so three dimensional ones were sewn on
throughout the quilt and Tammy Bradley quilted a dragonfly pattern to complete
the quilt. I made this gift for bus driver friends that I have known since
before Steffy was born. It was given to her on her
graduation from high school.
