Challenge News

In February26,2009 at the Guild meeting, we will be presenting our Challenge quilts of Black and White with one other color with a little bling. During the summer we bought the packets and rules so only those who already have the packet will be eligible to show their Challenge for judging. Normally the Challenge is held during the January meeting.

We had the unique opportunity to have Sharon Schamber's husband join in the trunk show.

It was great to see and hear from an artist's other half. She showed many for her painted quilts and shared her machine work. The Quilt on the lower right was her first quilt which won ribbons in her first show. The one on the left also won at a major show.

And speaking of those of you who live on the west side of town, I want you all to know that Gerta tried to look for venues other than Henderson for at least one meeting out of the year. The places She checked were the West Charleston Library, Sun City Summerlin, and J.W. Marriott. For various reasons none of these facilities could accommodate us. Here’s hoping we can find a viable solution to get as many members as possible to our quarterly guild meetings!
